Kocaeli Legal is a mid-sized law firm based in northwestern Turkey, handling everything from corporate matters and litigation to UYAP-driven case work. Like most established firms, they had grown one tool at a time — accounting in one system, HR in another, document storage somewhere else, and a daily dance through UYAP for active cases.
Each tool worked. The collection of tools didn't. Lawyers, paralegals, and support staff were each maintaining their own mental map of which login went where, and version-controlled documents started to drift the moment a draft left the central drive.
The firm came to us with a clear ask: don't replace the systems that work — wrap them. Give the team one front door.
We treated this as a portal problem, not a software problem. Replacing UYAP, the accounting tool, or the HR system would have been a multi-year program with massive switching costs. Instead, we built a Laravel + Filament intranet that acts as a unified gateway, authenticating users once via Microsoft Azure AD and routing them into each downstream system with the right context.
Filament gave us the speed we needed for the internal workflows — leave approvals, document libraries, department dashboards — without spending weeks on bespoke admin UI. For the UYAP integration we wrote a thin adapter layer that exposes the data the team actually uses without fighting UYAP's quirks.
The architectural decision we're proudest of is that the portal is genuinely thin. It owns identity and orchestration; it doesn't try to own the data. That's why a year of regulatory changes haven't required a single rewrite.
